CARDAPOL F

Description
CARDAPOL F is an oil soluble non-ionic surfactant, emulsifier and dispersant based on a bio-based renewable alkenyl phenolic hydrophobe derived from cashew nut shell oil. It is characterised by low volatility, low viscosity, and low pour point.
Features:
- Bio sourced component that does not compete as a food source
- Biodegradable
- Good emulsification, dispersing, solubilising due to large polar aromatic hydrophobic group
- Low VOC content
- Low pour point below minus 10oC
- Polar aromatic group provides, solubility and solvency of oils
Application
CARDAPOL F is recommended as an alternative to long chain oleyl alcohol ethoxylates, sorbitan esters, PEG oleates, castor oil ethoxylates and tristyrylphenol ethoxylate in a wide range of applications requiring good emulsification properties. CARDAPOL F may be combined with more hydrophilic surfactants to obtain the required hydrophilic/hydrophobic balance for a particular application.
Recommended application areas include:
- Lubricants and water based metal working fluids
- Paints coatings and adhesives
- Oil recovery and drilling
- Agrochemical
- Textile auxiliaries
- Polymer processing
- Solvent cleaner emulsions and degreasers
