SURFCON 1538

Description
SURFCON 1538 is a concentrated synergistic blend of biodegradable surfactants and chelating agents for use in formulating cleaning agents and detergents. It is easily pourable and dilutes in water without gelling, requiring minimal mixing.
Application
A range of very effective surface cleaners and degreasers may be formulated by diluting SURFACTANT CONCENTRATE 1538 in water, or by blending with inorganic alkalis, acids, solvents, dyes, fragrances to produce alkaline, acid, or neutral cleaners. These cleaning agents may be applied by spraying, scrubbing or wiping in a range of industrial and institutional cleaning applications. Examples of surface cleaner formulations:

The concentrate is classed with H318 Causes serious eye damage. Dilutions in water below 20% are classed as H319 eye irritant only. Dilutions in water below 5% are not classified as hazardous. The pH of formulations may be adjusted with citric acid or sodium hydroxide. It is recommended to add a preservative such as BIT for low solids formulations with a pH between 4 and 10.5.
